Elora Family Martial Arts Centre

Elora Family Martial Arts Centre opened to its dedicated students of Elora, Fergus and surrounding towns of Centre Wellington, in September 2004, committed to teaching traditional okinawan Karate-Do and weaponry. Pushing character building, we condition our students not only physically, but mentally as well. The friendships built in our school directly reflect the teaching style of the instructors and assistants. Though our students most experienced in Shorin Ryu Karate-Do they are exposed to wide varieties of oppurtunity to experience the world of martial arts through international training camps, seminars, competitions, and friendships. The affiliations with our karate school allow our students to understand different styles by learning and performing the forms and techniques taught by a multitude of instructors. The allies we have come from such styles as Matsubyashi and Kobyashi Shorin Ryu Karate-Do, White Crane Kung Fu, and Tae Kwon Do, to name just a few.

Goodwill Games

25.03.10

Congratulations to Team Canada! Out of a possible 59 medals to be won by Team Canada, we won 49, and 25 of those were gold. 3 of the 4 Triple Crowns won this year were also taken by members of Team Canada.

Each and every member of the competitive team took at least one medal from the competition.

On Behalf of the Team, I would like to thank Head Coach Kyoshi Frank Verbakel, Assistant Coach Shihan Angela Fice, and Assistant Coach Shihan Dai Jenn Verbakel for all your hard work to prepare the team for success in the big competition.

And on Behalf of the Coaches, I would like to thank the Team for being the competitors everyone took note on. You all did amazing, and were perfect examples of how martial artists should act.

Again, Congratulations to all.
